After Iowa basketball (6-0) earned a gritty 74-69 win over Ole Miss late Tuesday night, they will return to the court tonight for a clash against Grand Canyon (4-2) in the Acrisure Classic championship game from Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, Calif.
The Hawkeyes’ victory over the Rebels was powered by yet another phenomenal outing by senior point guard Bennett Stirts, who scored 29 points on 9-for-20 from the field, 6-for-8 from 3-point territory, and 5-for-6 from the free-throw line, to go along with 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal through a complete 40-minute effort.
Conversely, Grand Canyon won convincingly over Utah, 68-58, in a game that tipped off at 11 p.m. CT on Tuesday night. The Antelopes were led by Jaden Henley’s 18-point performance on 5-for-11 shooting from the floor and 8-for-9 from the free-throw line, to go along with his 3 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 assist in 31 minutes of action.

Henley leads Grand Canyon in scoring through their first five games played, averaging 17.0 points on 45.2% shooting, 18.1% from 3-point range, and 86.5% from the free-throw line, to go along with 4.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
