Sir Paul McCartney is getting back to Iowa after eight years.
The 83-year-old British singer, songwriter and bassist is bringing his “Got Back” tour to the U.S. McCartney will perform hits from his solo career, The Beatles and Wings. Iowa is the fourth stop on McCartney’s 19-show tour, ranging from Las Vegas to Chicago to Atlanta.
Since the show is nearly sold out, here are some tips ahead of the concert.
What is the Casey’s Center bag policy?
Clear bags are allowed as long as they don’t exceed 12 inches by 12 inches by 6 inches. Small clutches are allowed as long as they are 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches or without a handle/strap, according to the Iowa Even Center. All bags are subject to search upon entry.
Other tips for attending the Paul McCartney show in Iowa
Have your ticket downloaded to your mobile wallet before the show. Most tickets will not have a barcode on them because the Casey’s Center uses tap technology. The Casey’s center is cashless, which includes parking, concessions, merchandise and ticketing, according to the Iowa Event Center.
When is Paul McCartney in Iowa
McCartney will take to the stage at the newly named Casey’s Center at 8 p.m. Oct. 14 in Des Moines. He is the first concert announced after the name change.
This isn’t McCartney’s first time coming to Des Moines. He was also the first concert announced for the then-Wells Fargo Arena’s opening in 2005. McCartney performed in the Hawkeye State in 2017, also at Wells Fargo Arena.

The tickets for the Paul McCartney “Got Back” tour in Des Moines, Iowa, are already sold out, according to the tour’s website. However, the tour released a limited number of tickets for sale via Hy-veeTix.com
There is a waitlist you can sign up for in case tickets do become available.
