Social media reacts to Iowa women's basketball win vs. Baylor

Iowa (5-0) scored a major early season win, knocking off No. 10 Baylor, 57-52, on Thursday night in its opening game of the WBCA Showcase at State Farm Fieldhouse in Orlando, Florida.

Playing without sophomore guard Chit-Chat Wright for most of the second half, Iowa banded together and made plays down the stretch to KO one of women’s basketball’s perennially successful programs.

Iowa was led by sophomore center Ava Heiden’s 18 points and 11 rebounds, but sophomore guard Taylor Stremlow supplied a major lift with her career-high 12 points off the Hawkeye bench.

Iowa held Baylor without a made field goal in the game’s final 6:20 and closed on a 9-1 scoring spurt to capture the big win.
