Following their clean sweep of the WBCA Showcase in Orlando, Fla., with wins over then-No. 10 Baylor and Miami, No. 14 Iowa women’s basketball shared a behind-the-scenes look of their Disney World excursions before departing from the heart of the Sunshine State.
As the Hawkeyes explored numerous destinations, rode several rides, and encountered some of Disney’s iconic characters throughout the Magic Kingdom, it was Jada Gyamfi’s narration that encapsulated the entire experience.
Throughout the video, Gyamfi followed alongside teammates Emely Rodriguez, Kennise Johnson, Journey Houston, Chit-Chat Wright, and Kylie Feuerbach as the group traversed throughout the massive theme park.
As a team, the Hawkeyes also shared photos of their meet-up with Mickey Mouse himself, as well as their unified experience throughout their ‘getaway’ day.
Iowa improved to 7-0 on Wednesday night with an 86-69 win over Western Illinois. Freshman guard Addie Deal registered career-highs in points, assists and rebounds in the win. The California frosh scored 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc.
