Iowa State football bolstered its 2026 recruiting class when a pair of former Colorado State commits flipped their allegiances to the Cyclones after recent visits to Ames for the Iowa State-Kansas game.
Wide receiver Kash Brock and tight end Arley Morrell both announced their decisions to join the Cyclones on Nov. 24.
Brock is a three-star wide receiver, according to 247 Sports, and he is the younger brother of former Iowa State men’s basketball player Conrad Hawley.
The Chandler, Arizona, native is a standout receiver at Basha High School, where he is also a member of the track team. Brock earned all-region accolades and is currently helping his team during their deep state playoff run.
Basha is 10-1 overall and set to play in the open state semifinals on Nov. 29.
Through 11 games, the 6-foot-3, 175-pound receiver has 49 receptions for 827 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Morrell announced his decision several hours after Brock. He is also a three-star prospect, according to 247 sports.
The 6-foot-6, 210-pound prospect is a two-way star at Pratt High School in Kansas. He had 48 catches for 227 yards and eight touchdowns in Pratt’s 7-2 season. Although he is committed as a tight end, he was also productive as a defensive end, where he tallied 88 tackles, including 13 for loss.
With Brock and Morrell’s commitments, Iowa State now has 22 commits for the class of 2026.
