Notre Dame football will be missing more than a few contributors for Senior Day this weekend against Syracuse, but there is one player who could be seeing the field once again.
Earlier in the week, head coach Marcus Freeman talked about redshirting wide receiver Jaden Greathouse, as he’s battled injuries all season. The current plan was to try and hold him out these next two games, then play him during the College Football Playoff, which does not have any impact on any players eligibility. That’s why it was very interesting to see that Greathouse was not on the Irish’s Thursday availability report.
As long as the game isn’t in doubt, which it shouldn’t be as Notre Dame is heavy favorites, you most likely won’t see Greathouse on the field. We also won’t be seeing kicker Noah Burnette, defensive tackel Gabriel Rubio and offensive lineman Charlies Jagusah and Billy Schrauth as all of them continue to work back from various injuries.
For the most part, Notre Dame is fairly healthy heading into this weekend, and should continue its march towards another berth into the CFP.
