On Wednesday, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones discussed the fibula injury he is working through.
Jones appeared on the injury report last Thursday as a limited participant. On Friday, he was a full-go and played in Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
“It was just something that was kind of hanging over, and realized it last week,” Jones said. “Just been trying to get treatment and make sure I’m in the best spot I can be.”
The Colts didn’t hold an actual practice on Wednesday but instead did a walkthrough. On the estimated injury report, Jones was again listed as limited.
“It’s just something I felt last week,” Jones added. “Tough to say exactly when, but yeah, something I felt last week. Got looked at. Been really good working with the trainers here and making sure we’re ready to go. Got a good plan.”
However, both Jones and head coach Shane Steichen have made it clear that Jones will be good to go for this week’s game against the Houston Texans.
“I’m good,” Jones said. “I’m all good. I’ll be ready to go on Sunday. Obviously was out there last week, I’m good to go.”
Led by Jones, the Colts are 8-3 and currently have a one-game lead in the AFC South race and are the three seed in the AFC playoff picture.
