Actor Hugh Jackman back in Muncie, visits Delaware County deputy's memorial

MUNCIE, IN — Actor Hugh Jackman was back in Muncie on Friday, Nov. 14, and visited a memorial for a Delaware County sheriff’s deputy who lost his life this week in a traffic accident.

The memorial — in the form of a Delaware County sheriff’s vehicle — is in front of the county’s justice center at 3100 S. Tillotson Ave.

Deputy Blake Marshall was fatally injured early Wednesday while assisting the driver of a disabled semi along Interstate 69 in northwestern Delaware County.

Another northbound semi crashed into both the disabled semi and the deputy’s patrol vehicle.

Also on Friday, Jackson visited the AMC Muncie 12 movie theater, 860 E. Princeton Ave. The theater reportedly hosted a showing of “Song Sung Blue” a Jackson film that will premiere in December.

The “Wolverine” star also visited Muncie — and the Ball State University campus — in mid-September.

His girlfriend, actress Sutton Foster, is an adjunct professor at Ball State.
