The Chicago Bears will battle the Philadelphia Eagles on Black Friday in Week 13, where Chicago is looking to win their ninth game in the last 10 amid a battle of two NFC heavyweights.
The Bears are coming off a 31-28 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, where the defense came up huge in the second half amid a laundry list of injuries. Chicago was without their top three linebackers, along with their two best cornerbacks, but still managed to emerge victorious. The offense, despite struggles in the run game, capitalized in the red zone behind Caleb Williams’ three touchdowns. After stringing together a league-high five comeback wins this season, the Bears found a way to preserve a win in the fourth quarter.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are coming off a brutal 24-21 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, where Philadelphia blew a 21-point lead while being held scoreless in the second half. The Eagles had a couple of costly turnovers late, including a Saquon Barkley fumble, as Dak Prescott led the Cowboys to an improbable comeback win over their division rivals.
Now, the Bears have a chance to shock the world with a win over the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles and take hold of the No. 2 seed in the NFC. Can Chicago once again find a way to win against one of the conference’s best? If some key members of the defense return, it’s certainly not impossible.
