TPD conducting homicide investigation following Nylic Street shooting; one person dead

The Tallahassee Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation following a call from the 1300 block of Nylic Street.

According to an overnight social media incident alert from TPD, on Nov. 3 at approximately 8:10 p.m., officers responded to the scene in northwest Tallahassee where they located an adult victim suffering from a suspected gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS.

So far in 2025, 19 people have died and at least 35 have been injured in 51 serious shootings in the capital city and county, according to to a Tallahassee Democrat analysis of gun violence.
