A 72-year-old suburban Lake Worth woman has died after being struck by a vehicle, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.
Investigators say Anna Wilczak was walking in the Winston Trails community the morning of Monday, Aug. 4 when she was struck by a pickup. She was taken to Delray Medical Center, where she died.
According to a sheriff’s office report, the incident occurred shortly before 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Winston Trails Boulevard and Winston Trails North. Investigators say a Ford pickup was traveling south on Winston Trails North and was in the process in the process of making a left turn onto Winston Trails Boulevard when Wilczak stepped from the curb and into the vehicle’s path.
She was struck by the front corner of the pickup’s passenger side. A 50-year-old suburban Lake Worth man was identified as the Ford’s driver.
The crash report did not indicate whether any charges or citations are pending.
