'Savor September' kicks off with exclusive menus from Daytona-area restaurants

On Sept. 1, the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau launched Savor September, a local restaurant month, in partnership with some of the region’s most popular dining destinations.

From Sept. 1 – 30, both visitors and residents can enjoy exclusive $20, $40 and $60 prix fixe menus, specially curated from participating local restaurants, according to a recent release. Beyond offering diners a one-of-a-kind experience, Savor September aims to highlight the Daytona Beach area’s dense variety of dining options, from fast-casual barbecue joints to fine dining seafood restaurants.

“The Daytona Beach area’s culinary scene is growing and evolving, offering everything from coastal classics to eclectic flavors,” Lori Campbell Baker, executive director of the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, said in a statement.

“Savor September is the perfect invitation for locals and visitors alike to explore the Daytona Beach area’s diverse restaurants,” she continues. “Our residents are our best ambassadors, and by sharing their favorite dining experiences with visitors, they help showcase the flavors that make our destination so special.”

Each restaurant’s two-to-three course menu features a selection of appetizers, entrees and desserts, from filet mignon to Key lime pie.

So, what’s for lunch – or dinner?

Guests will choose one item from each section of participating restaurants’ multi-course menus, after mentioning Savor September to the establishment’s wait staff. Tax and gratuity are not included.

According to the Savor September website, Crabby Joe’s Deck & Grill’s three-course menu, priced at $20 per person, includes but is not limited to fish and chips, chicken scampi and Florida sunshine cake.

Rose Villa Southern Table & Bar is offering three separate menus, one at each $20 – $60 price point, with lunch and dinner dishes that range from deviled eggs and Southern fried chicken to pan-seared salmon and chocolate lava cake.

Ocean Deck, previously named the country’s best beach bar by USA Today readers, is offering a lunch and dinner menu priced at $20 and $40 per person. Options range from the rasta fish dip and Big Daddy Burger to grilled garlic shrimp and tropical crepe cake.

Savor September concludes Sept. 30. For information and to view the full menus from all participants, visit daytonabeach.com/savor-september.
