Authorities have released the names of four victims and the suspected gunman in a deadly shooting on Tuesday afternoon at a home in Sarasota’s Amberlea neighborhood. Investigators say the shooting is connected to a separate double homicide in Fort Lauderdale.
Those killed were Olga Greinert, 49; Florita Stolyar, 66; Anatoly Ioffe, 61; and Yaroslav Blyudoy, 39. Authorities identified the suspected gunman as Russell Kot, 51. All next of kin have been notified.
Based on the preliminary investigation, officials say Kot died from self-inflicted wounds. Investigators also reported there are no known documented mental health crises or prior history of violence associated with him. No motive has been determined, and the investigation remains active.
What led up to the Sarasota shooting?
The Sarasota County Emergency Operations Center received a 911 call at 12:24 p.m. Feb. 10 reporting that an adult man had been shot at a residence near Proctor and McIntosh roads, according to authorities.
Deputies arrived within minutes and found a man in the front yard as neighbors performed CPR. Neighbors told deputies the man’s wife might still be inside the home. He was moved to another location, where Sarasota County Fire Department personnel took over medical care, but he was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
Concerned for the wife’s safety, deputies entered the residence and discovered four more deceased adults, two men and two women.
While working to identify the victims and suspect, detectives learned that the Fort Lauderdale Police Department was investigating a double homicide believed to be connected to the Sarasota killings. Fort Lauderdale police provided information about a suspect vehicle that had been captured on camera traveling north through Punta Gorda after the South Florida killings and before the Sarasota incident.
Detectives later obtained surveillance video from neighbors and the Amberlea homeowners association showing the suspect’s vehicle entering the neighborhood at 11:01 a.m. The sound of gunfire was recorded on a neighbor’s Ring camera shortly afterward.
About 37 minutes later, the man found in the front yard was captured on video entering the neighborhood in his own vehicle. Investigators say he approached the home’s front door and was shot. No one was seen entering or leaving the residence after that until deputies arrived.
Authorities said the suspect’s vehicle was located in the neighborhood.
Investigators said Kot had previously been in a romantic relationship with one of the victims in Fort Lauderdale, who had connections to the Sarasota victims. The motive for targeting the Sarasota shooting victims remains unclear.
According to a LinkedIn profile page for Anatoly “Tony” Ioffe, the 61-year-old was the CEO of ArgoMed Group DBA Osprey PolyClinic. Records from Sunbiz.org confirmed that Ioffe is the registered agent for ArgoMed Group, LLC, and has been since June 2022.
“With over three years of experience in the medical industry, I have dedicated my career to leading innovative solutions that enhance the delivery of care while maintaining the highest standards of patient satisfaction and clinical excellence,” Ioffe’s profile states.
The practice, which does business as Osprey PolyClinic out of a medical office building at 1307 S. Tamiami Trail in Osprey is similar to a “We Work” space for medical professionals, according to the ArgoMed Group website.
When a Herald-Tribune reporter reached out to the Osprey PolyClinic to confirm if he worked at the clinic before 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, a receptionist informed the reporter that she could not “confirm anything until I have official confirmation.”
A Facebook post by Florita Stolyar, Ioffe’s wife, stated the couple had opened the multi-specialty medical clinic in 2024 to provide “high-quality, ethical, and compassionate medical care with a truly personalized approach.”
ArgoMed Group started in Chicago and later moved to Sarasota, according to a brief history section of the ArgoMed Group website.
Argo Real Estate Management LLC, which is partially managed by Ioffe, bought the Osprey property in September 2023 for $3.1 million. It sold the building in December 2025 for $6.34 million to a Delaware-based company, 1307 Tamiami Trail LLC.
Based on other recent Facebook posts, Stolyar, 66, also appeared to be a creative spirit at heart, crafting glass beaded bracelets and earrings which she sold on her Etsy storefront.
Anyone with information related to the shooting is asked to contact the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Bureau at 941-861-4900.
