PBSO: Two killed after car crosses median and collides with pickup on Beeline Highway

Two people were killed Sept. 23 in a head-on collision west of Jupiter, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Authorities identified the persons who died as Peter W. Bouchard, 70, of Okeechobee and Sue L. Fogg, 63, of Fort Pierce.

According to a sheriff’s office crash report, Bouchard was the driver and Fogg the passenger of a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria involved in the collision on the Beeline Highway, north of Indiantown Road.

Investigators say the Crown Victoria was traveling north when, for reasons unknown, it veered to the left, crossed the median and entered the southbound lanes. The vehicle then struck the front of a southbound Dodge 3500 Ford pickup that was occupied by two people, the crash report said.

The Dodge’s driver and passenger, a 69-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman, both from Loxahatchee, were taken to a hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

The crash report indicates Bouchard was not wearing a seat belt. It did not indicate how fast the vehicles were traveling at the time of the collision.
