Trenton Henderson is one of the top players in the 2026 recruiting cycle and someone the FSU Seminoles are fighting to land. The four-star edge is from Pensacola, Florida and attended FSU’s Big Man Camp on Wednesday, though only as an observer.
It gave FSU’s coaching staff a chance to interact with him after not getting a summer official visit. It sounds like it was time well spent, as he had great things to say about defensive line coach Terrance Knighton.
“I would say my relationship with T-Knighton is stronger than any coach in college football that’s recruiting me,” Henderson told Warchant’s Michael Langston. “I’m just comfortable around him and I can be myself. That’s what I like about him. I like how he’s a players’ coach. He can be cool with you, but he’s also going to get his point across with his coaching.”
Henderson is the No. 59 overall player and No. 11 edge in On3’s industry ranking. He is also the No. 10 player from Florida.
He was originally supposed to officially visit over the summer, but that will now take place during their Week 1 game against the Alabama Crimson Tide. He is expecting his recruitment to come to a close shortly after that trip.
“Probably right after that game and visit with FSU,” he said. “Just because of the relationships I have with the coaches, I wanted that to be my final visit so I can see everything.”
He is also considering the Florida Gators, Texas Longhorns, Michigan Wolverines, and Auburn Tigers. The Gators are seen as the favorite in his recruitment after his recent visit.
