The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Florida State Hospital, announced the dedication of the GCSO Westside Annex, located on the state hospital’s campus in Chattahoochee.
This new location will deliver more law enforcement services to the west side of the county, according to Gadsden County Sheriff Morris Young.
In a press release, his office said the “convenient location” allows a space for deputies to work and provides a hub of sorts for them on the west side of the county.
Capt. Anglie Holmes, the sheriff’s spokesperson, said the new annex also will “assist the Florida State Hospital campus with traffic and just more visibility for them … with that being an open campus.”
