Tebow finished his high school career at Nease with 9,810 passing yards. Griffin entered his regular season opener against Bishop Verot (Fort Myers) at 9,765 passing yards.

The Florida commit passed the College Football Hall of Famer by the second quarter.

Griffin is ranked as the No. 4 quarterback in the USA TODAY Florida Top 100 and No. 43 player overall. He was the first recruit to commit to Billy Napier and company in the 2026 cycle, naming the Gators back in June of 2024.

The composite 4-star and top-15 QB in the nation now sits at No. 12 in the all-time yardage leaders in Florida (per MaxPreps).

Griffin adds this most recent accolade to an already impressive resume, which include the Elite 11 Finals, Polynesian Bowl, and Under Armour All-America Game.

Griffin is quickly approaching 10,000 career passing yards, and would be just the 10th quarterback in Florida to ever achieve the milestone (per MaxPreps).
