Blue-chip WR names FSU in top five schools

Florida State is making it a point to find elite wide receiver talent in the 2027 cycle. One of their latest targets comes from the state of Florida in four-star Anthony Jennings.

The Seminoles made an offer to Jennings back in January. They’ve been consistent in their communication with the 6-foot, 160-pounder since then, and it’s allowed them to be named in the top schools for Jennings at the moment.

“A couple of schools are really getting in contact,” Jennings told Rivals. “Right now the top five are probably the Florida Gators, Miami, Tennessee, Auburn and FSU over the others.”

Jennings had seen his offer sheet take a huge uptick as of late. As exciting as that is, he plans to get racking up offers before making any quick decisions. According to Jennings, he won’t commit to any school until around this time next year.

The Dillard High School star played in 11 games last season. Despite only having 21 receptions, Jennings was able to be extremely productive. He finished the year with 556 yards and eight touchdowns while averaging 27 yards per catch.

Jennings has spent any time in Tallahassee up until this point. That won’t be the case once the regular season starts.

“I haven’t been up there yet but I’m going to get to a home game this year. It feels good to have that Florida State offer.”

Rivals’ industry rankings have Jennings as the No. 335 player and the No. 45 wide receiver in the country. In the state of Florida, he’s the No. 39 overall prospect.
