Awaiting the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6 is a home matchup with the Seattle Seahawks.
To see how the Jaguars and Seahawks stack up against one another in several key areas, you can find that here.

However, for some added insight, Kole Musgrove, the managing editor of Seahawks Wire, answered several of our questions about this 2025 Seattle team.
What’s the early assessment of Sam Darnold and his play with Seattle?
Musgrove: “Sam Darnold has come exactly as advertised. Obviously, given his explosive season out of nowhere in Minnesota last year, everyone naturally questioned if he’d be a one-hit wonder. Nope. He’s playing with confidence, and it’s leading to efficient, decisive play. Darnold has been lights out this whole season.”
What’s been the strength of the Seahawks through five weeks?
Musgrove: “I would say the defensive line, even if they didn’t make much of an impact against the Bucs last week. Aside from Week 5, this unit has been outright suffocating, and it’s helped transform this defense practically overnight from when Macdonald first took the reins.”
On the flip side, where have opponents found success against Seattle?
Musgrove: “In the short term, the secondary is REALLY missing Devon Witherspoon and Julian Love. Baker Mayfield carved up the Hawks like a Thanksgiving turkey. Overall, Seattle’s run game is nowhere near as dominant as everyone was hoping. Teams are having success slowing down Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet.”
Who’s an under-the-radar player for Jaguars fans to know?
Musgrove: “Keep an eye out for rookie wide receiver Tory Horton, who is already looking like a key steal in the draft. With all the attention sure to be on Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp, Horton may get some great opportunities. Also, second-year tight end AJ Barner has emerged as a viable weapon. He already has four touchdowns on the year, including two last week. He’s becoming a favorite of Darnold’s in the red zone.”
Prediction time: Who wins and why?
Musgrove: “The Seahawks played a near-flawless game but still lost to the Bucs. They’re pissed, and they’re back on the road, where they’ve been warriors. Seattle has had a tremendous amount of success in the early time slot (10:00 am for us in Washington State!) in recent years. An angry Hawks team against a Jaguars team that might have a natural letdown spot after such a remarkable victory over the Chiefs last week? Give me Seattle in a narrow 28-27 win.
