EuroBasket 2025 schedule for Luka Doncic and Slovenia

Thursday, Aug. 28, is the day the Slovenian national team, led by Luka Doncic, will begin official group play in EuroBasket 2025. It will face Poland on Thursday as it vies for the opportunity to advance to the knockout round and take home a gold medal.

Doncic didn’t play in all of Slovenia’s exhibition games, but when he did suit up, he mostly played excellent basketball. He survived an injury scare in one of the games when he collided with a teammate and appeared to suffer a knee injury, but it was diagnosed as a mere contusion and he continued to be available to play.

Slovenia competes in Group D, and it will play five group play contests, all of which will take place in Poland. Its schedule is as follows:

Los Angeles Lakers fans who want to get a glimpse of the new slim, in-shape Doncic can watch him play for his native country in EuroBasket 2025 through Courtside 1891, which is FIBA’s official streaming service. People can watch highlights and some replays for free, but a paid subscription is required to see full games.

Doncic won’t be the only NBA star taking part in EuroBasket, as Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Alperen Sengun and Lauri Markkanen will also play. It will give fans an opportunity to watch some fairly high-level competitive basketball in late summer as they wait for training camps to open in about a month.
