49ers get thinner at an already shallow position vs. Panthers

The San Francisco 49ers entered Monday night’s game against the Carolina Panthers thin at defensive end with Nick Bosa, Mykel Williams and Yetur Gross-Matos all on injured reserve and Robert Beal Jr. out with a concussion.

Then, during the game, the 49ers lost another, as Sam Okuayinonu suffered an ankle injury early on in the game. While he tried to keep playing, San Francisco announced the injury and listed him as questionable to return.

The 49ers only have three active defensive ends left for the remainder of the game if Okuayinonu can’t go. If that’s the case, they’ll have to rely on Bryce Huff, Clelin Ferrell and Keion White.
