Swimming Advisory Canceled for: Chrysler Beach

By The St. Clair County Health Department

The St. Clair County Health Department (SCCHD) has canceled the water quality swimming advisory for Chrysler Beach. Bacteria levels indicate the beach is now in acceptable condition for swimming.

The water quality swimming advisory was originally put in place on August 14, 2025 due to elevated E. coli bacteria test results. Additional water samples were collected at the affected beach and E. coli tests now show results are within the acceptable water quality range as dictated by the State of Michigan. Elevated E. coli levels are possible after a storm or strong winds because bacteria are carried in storm water runoff, including drainage from creeks and ditches, and stirred up from waves.
