St. Patrick’s Day Concert Fundraiser to Benefit Sanilac County Historical Society

By The Sanilac County Historical Society

Port Sanilac, MI (February 13th) – The Sanilac County Historical Society invites the community to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend with a special concert fundraiser on Sunday, March 15, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Blue Water Sports Bar in Port Sanilac.

The evening will feature the return of the beloved Irish music group Ourselves, whose annual St. Patrick’s Day performances have supported the Museum for more than a decade. Known for their rich harmonies and traditional instrumentation, Ourselves performs Irish ballads and Americana with a distinctive focus on Michigan’s maritime heritage, the Great Lakes, and life along the shore.

The band includes Tom Schlichting, Walt Schlichting, and Lynn Surbrook — musicians who have helped make this concert a local tradition and a meaningful fundraiser for the Historical Society.

Admission to the concert is free, with a recommended $5 donation to benefit the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum. Proceeds directly support the preservation of local history, educational programming, and community events throughout the year.

In addition, Blue Water Sports Bar will offer a special St. Patrick’s Day promotion of half Reuben sandwiches for $5 during the concert.

Community members are encouraged to gather friends and family, wear green, and enjoy an evening of authentic Irish music in support of local history.

The Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum is located at 228 S. Ridge St (M25) in Port Sanilac. For more information visit www.sanilaccountymuseum.org or on Facebook at “Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum”, or call the office at 810.622.9946.
