Late this week, Cheboygan-area athletes and teams competed all over Northern Michigan.
Whether it was Cheboygan, Inland Lakes, Mackinaw City, Onaway, Pellston or Burt Lake Northern Michigan Christian Academy, there was a lot of action over the course of the last couple of days.
Here’s a look at the Cheboygan area’s top performers for April 22-23.
BASEBALL
Brody McGovern, Cheboygan – Recorded a hit and scored three runs in game one at Kingsley on April 23. McGovern added a hit in game two.
Josh Clark, Cheboygan – Tallied a hit and an RBI in game one at Kingsley.
Nolan Schley, Cheboygan – Had a hit and an RBI in game one at Kingsley.
Charlie Godfrey, Cheboygan – Registered a hit and an RBI in game two at Kingsley, while also striking out three on the mound in game one.

Braylon Currie, Mackinaw City – Threw a three-inning no-hitter with six strikeouts in game one against Newberry on April 22. He also scored two runs offensively.

Myran Thompson, Mackinaw City – Had a hit, an RBI and two runs scored in game one against Newberry.
Knox Wilson, Mackinaw City – Struck out eight and allowed one hit in game two against Newberry.

Landon Busbee, Onaway – Finished 3-for-4 with four RBIs in game one against Central Lake on April 23. Busbee had a hit and an RBI in game two.
Keagan Beyer, Onaway – Went 3-for-4 with three RBIs in game two against Central Lake, while also adding a hit in game one.
Zach Schmoldt, Onaway – Had two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored in game one against Central Lake, then tallied two hits and two runs scored in game two.
Brody George, Onaway – Recorded two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored in game one against Central Lake, then had two hits and two runs scored in game two.
Casey Kindt, Onaway – Registered two hits and three runs scored in game one against Central Lake, then added five pitching strikeouts in game two.

Lydia Kosanke, Cheboygan – Earned two pitching wins over Kingsley, striking out nine over 12 innings pitched. She also had a hit in game one.
Presley Chamberlain, Cheboygan – Tallied two hits, an RBI and two runs scored in game one at Kingsley. She doubled and added two RBIs in game two.
Aubrey Mastin, Cheboygan – Recorded two hits and scored twice in game one at Kingsley, then added another hit in game two.
Bea Schulz, Cheboygan – Had two hits (double) and two RBIs in game two at Kingsley.
Diem Schley, Cheboygan – Finished with two hits (double) and an RBI in game two at Kingsley.

Eva Carper, Inland Lakes – Finished with two hits – including a home run – and three RBIs in game two against Johannesburg-Lewiston, while adding a hit in game one. In two games pitched, Carper combined for five strikeouts.
Alexis Langworthy, Inland Lakes – Hit a solo home run and finished with four RBIs in game one against Johannesburg-Lewiston on April 23. She also had a hit in game two.
Taylor Nutt, Inland Lakes – Combined for four hits and an RBI in a doubleheader against Johannesburg-Lewiston.
