Authorities are asking the pubic for help to identify a driver who struck a person on an east-side Detroit street last Thursday.
Detroit police said the crash happened at about 5:20 p.m. in the area of Westphalia and Linnhurst streets near Seven Mile and Schoenherr roads.
Officials said a red 2006-2010 Chrysler 300 was traveling north on Westphalia when it struck the victim. They said the car’s driver disregarded a stop sign before hitting the person and fled afterward.
Investigators said the crash left the victim in critical condition.
Investigators said the car has damage to its front, a missing fog light cover, and extensive damage to its undercarriage. They said it was last seen traveling east on Eastwood Street from Westphalia.
Detectives released video of the crash on Tuesday.
