The Stable has opened at 116 N. Main St. in Blissfield, bringing dining back to the former Main Street Stable & Tavern — which closed during the height of COVID-19.
The restaurant, a farm-to-table concept managed by Maria Carrico, opened July 22. The menu includes appetizers, salads, sandwiches, wraps, desserts and a full bar, with plans to add seafood, steaks and pasta dishes in the future.
Carrico said residents have welcomed the return of a restaurant to the building.
“Everyone’s very excited to have a restaurant back in the area,” Carrico told The Daily Telegram. “It’s been very positive. … The former restaurant was always a gathering place for locals and we’re seeing that again.”
The new restaurant is focused on seasonal ingredients and partnerships with local producers. The concept is being carried out in collaboration with the American Farm Museum, which is leasing an adjacent property and helping oversee operations.
The Stable is open 3-9 p.m. Wednesdays-Thursdays, 3-10 p.m. Fridays-Saturdays, and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sundays.
