Tarik Skubal turned in the Old English D for Dodger blue.
The former Detroit Tigers ace, traded Saturday night to the Los Angeles Dodgers for three prospects, met his new teammates Sunday, as the Dodgers wrapped up a series in which they were swept by the Boston Red Sox. The Dodgers shared Skubal’s arrival on social media, opening with Skubal’s familiar No. 29 hanging in a locker, only it was the Dodgers’ home white jersey.
The video briefly follows Skubal entering the Dodgers’ clubhouse, with the lefthander exchanging handshakes and hugs with his news teammates, and ends with Skubal embracing Dodgers manager Dave Roberts in the dugout.
“You looking good in the Dodger blue,” Roberts says.
Skubal is scheduled to make his Dodgers debut on Tuesday against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.
