MSU basketball commitment bumped up to 5-star rating

One of the prized commitments in the Spartans’ 2026 class has been bumped up to a five-star rating.

Michigan State commitment Jasiah Jervis is now listed as a five-star prospect in 247Sports’ composite system. He is now listed as the No. 26 overall prospect and No. 4 shooting guard in the 2026 class. He also has a recruiting rating of 99.06 now.

Jervis is the highest-rated prospect in the Spartans’ 2026 class, which ranks as the No. 3 class in the country. Jervis was a McDonald’s All-American selection and should have the opportunity to make an instant impact with Michigan State next season.

Jervis will be joining a load Michigan State team for next season, which is ranked by many as a preseason top five team. The addition of Jervis will only bolster an extremely talented back court led by All-American point guard Jeremy Fears Jr. Jervis may not begin the year as a starter, but don’t be surprised if he joins Fears as a starter in the back court by the end of the year.
