WINDSOR TWP. — A couple of upcoming road closures could affect drivers who use M-99 south of Lansing and Mt. Hope Avenue in the area of U.S. 127.
State highway officials said M-99 will be closed in both directions between Bailey and Waverly roads from 3 a.m. Saturday, May 31, to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 1, to allow for the installation of drainage pipes.

Traffic will be detoured via Waverly Road and Holt Highway, the Michigan Department of Transportation said.
This work is part of a $15 million revamp of M-99 from Holt Road to Edgewood Boulevard. That project is expected to be completed by the end of October 2025,
Meanwhile, MDOT said Mt. Hope Avenue would be closed at U.S. 127 from 6 a.m. Monday, June 2, to 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, for a “partial bridge reconstruction.” Drivers should find an alternate route, the agency said.
That work is part of the ongoing $205 million rebuild of U.S. 127 between Interstates 96 and 496.
