The Michigan Department of Transportation will begin a repaving project on M-32 in Otsego and Montmorency counties on Monday, July 14.
The $4.3 million project will include milling and repaving 17 miles from east of Hayes Road in Gaylord to east of Meridian Line Road in Vienna. It will not include a section of M-32 from Turtle Lake Road to McCoy Road and Rowan Avenue to Finnegan Road, which was previously resurfaced in 2021.
According to MDOT officials, the work will require daytime single-lane closures with traffic regulators. Along with repaving, there will be new pavement markings and rumble strips.
The project is expected to be completed by Oct. 3.
