A 68-year-old Mancelona man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Monday, Aug. 10 in Otsego County’s Bagley Township.
According to the Michigan State Police, troopers from the Gaylord Post responded to a traffic crash at 8:07 a.m. on Milbocker Road near the Badger Parkway.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle being driven by the Mancelona man was heading east when it began to swerve, drifted off the roadway and struck a tree. The man was unconscious when troopers arrived, and they provided life-saving measures. He was then transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
Investigators added that it is believed the man experienced a medical episode while driving, which led to the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
