The Michigan State women’s basketball team is off to its best start in 15 seasons.
But the No. 14-ranked Spartans aren’t satisfied with their accomplishments or the attention they are getting.

“It’s important not to get wrapped up in it because it’s just a stat,” senior and captain Grace VanSlooten said prior to practice Wednesday, Jan. 14. “We’re just going to continue to put our head down and work and play hard and hopefully win some games.”
The next opportunity for the Spartans to add to their winning streak comes when they host Nebraska at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15 at Breslin Center. Nebraska is receiving votes in the USA Today coaches poll and is ranked No. 24 in this week’s Associated Press poll.
MSU has an eight-game winning streak entering the matchup and completed an unbeaten trip to the Pacific Northwest when it picked up a win over Oregon on Sunday, Jan. 11. Nebraska is coming off an 83-61 home loss to Big Ten leader and No. 4-ranked UCLA on Jan. 11.
