EAST LANSING — Police were seeking information about a reported assault in the downtown area during the early morning hours of Sunday, Aug. 9.
The investigation centers on allegations that two victims were assaulted by a group of people following an argument about 2:15 a.m. in the 500 to 600 block of Albert Avenue, police said. One of the victims was seriously injured, they said.
Investigators have identified people of interest and are reviewing evidence, Capt. Adrian Ojerio said in an Aug. 17 email.
Police said videos were being circulated on social media and asked that anyone with information call Det. Katey Harrison at (517) 319-6851 or email her at kharris@cityofeastlansing.com.
“If you saw anything or recorded anything – any information would be helpful,” police said in a Facebook posting.
