Breaking Barriers & Chasing Wakes: Cassandra Briggs Makes History at the Mott Lake Regatta!

The Marine Prop Riders is proud to recognize Cassandra Briggs, from New Baltimore, MI, as the first female Eastern Divisional Champion in the APBA Inboard Hydroplane National Modified class. On June 7th Cassandra placed first on the waters of Decatur Lake, Illinois. The only woman in the class, Cassandra’s victory displayed skill and dedication in the high-speed world of Hydroplane racing and marks a significant milestone in the sport’s history.

Come join us for the exciting third annual Mott Lake Regatta, War of the Wake, in beautiful Genesee County on August 9th and 10th. Experience the thrill as Cassandra joins over thirty hydroplane boats racing at Blue Bell Beach located at 6140 N. Bray Rd Flint Mi.

The high-speed action begins on Saturday, between the hours of 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM each day. Enjoy an unparalleled weekend of adrenaline-pumping competition, live music, delectable food trucks, and refreshing beverages. Family fun is guaranteed with a splash pad for children, the Huckleberry railroad and Crossroads Village.

Admission is just $20 per car per day, or $30 for the entire weekend – tickets are available at the gate. Do not miss this spectacular celebration of speed, skill, and community spirit!
