Jan 22 (Reuters) – Deere & Co’s chief financial officer, Joshua Jepsen, will resign from the company and take up the same role at Honeywell’s aerospace unit, marking an end to an over-two-decade stint at the farm equipment maker.
Deere, which announced the resignation in a filing on Thursday, appointed Ryan Campbell as interim finance chief, until the company finds a permanent replacement.
Separately on Thursday, industrial firm Honeywell said it appointed Jepsen as CFO of its unit from February 23, as its aerospace business grapples with higher costs and tariff pressures.
Honeywell Aerospace will become an independent, publicly traded company following its planned spinoff in the second half of this year.
Jepsen, whose resignation takes effect on February 19, joined Deere in 1999 as an intern. He later worked in the company’s auditing, accounting and investor relations teams before becoming the CFO.
Along with Jepsen, Honeywell appointed other executives to lead the aerospace unit’s electronic solutions, engines and power systems, and control systems segments.
Honeywell named Jim Currier as president and CEO of the aerospace unit in November after announcing a breakup of its large conglomerate structure early last year to create three independent companies focused on automation, aerospace and advanced materials.
