NEW YORK, Aug 5 (Reuters) – Senior Bank of America technology executive Ed Liu has resigned and plans to join a competitor, the bank said in an internal memo on Wednesday.
Liu served as vice chairman of technology and global head of software, according to his LinkedIn profile, and joined the bank in early 2024.
He previously worked at Morgan Stanley where he had been co-head of Americas technology banking.
A Bank of America spokesperson declined to comment and Liu could not be reached for comment.
It could not be immediately determined where Liu is headed.
Liu’s departure was reported just days after Citi announced that it hired Rohan Sen from Bank of America to lead coverage of the technology services sector.
