Frank S. Bublitz adopted Port Huron as his hometown in 1986. Frank’s career includes mental health peer specialist, volunteer recruiting for the Red Cross of Southeastern Michigan, and performing at The Snug and Riverbank Theater for a number of years. In 1988 Frank endured a “psychotic break” due to untreated major depression and major episodes of sleep apnea. He has turned these obstacles into stepping stones to create an innovative business model he calls “Wellness Arts” Consulting. He does this as Frank’s Acting, Improv, Inspiration, and Music (FAIIM) in Port Huron. Frank has developed an education program that uses his artistic training, experience, and teaching skills to help people who have mental and intellectual disabilities. Northwestern University has also licensed its medical improv program Serious Play to him for use in Michigan. Frank also provides a form of Theatrical Improvisation which is tailored to the performance and the mental health needs of people who act, teach, or work with the public. While not with his wife Carol, their children, and grandchildren, you will find Frank glued to the television when the Green Bay Packers take the field.
