According to MDOT, the meetings will take place every other Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Whitefish Township Hall. The first half-hour of each meeting will be open to the public to discuss issues like the project timeline, detours, traffic control and more.

The $3.1 million project to rebuild M-123 includes partial crushing and shaping of the existing pavement, asphalt repaving with wide shoulders for an ORV connector trail and improved stormwater infrastructure. Funding from a Transportation Alternatives Grant will include a paved shared-use path, concrete sidewalk, crosswalks and lighting. An additional $4 million will be used to resurface 14 miles of M-123.

A phone line for project-related issues has been set up at 906-786-1830, ext. 600.
