DIVISION 3 AT WASHTENAW GOLF CLUB
Lansing Catholic was the regional runner-up with a team score of 345, while Bath was three strokes back with a 348 to finish third and advance to the state finals.
Lansing Catholic was led by Adam Killingsworth and Carter Tribel, who tied for 11th with rounds of 85.
Bath had Max McCallister place fourth with his round of 82.
Perry’s Cole Kline was the top finisher from Greater Lansing and placed third overall after shooting an 80.
DIVISION 1 AT HARTLAND
Grand Ledge’s Christian Helzer qualified for the state finals as an individual after shooting a 74 during a regional at Dunham Hills. Helzer placed sixth overall individually for Grand Ledge, which placed eighth as a team.
Grand Ledge also had Emerson Stoddard place 10th with a round of 76. Holt’s Dominic DeMello also was tied for 10th.
DIVISION 2 AT COLDWATER
Charlotte’s Andrew Buzzard finished seventh individually at this regional to lead the area golfers. Buzzard had a round of 76 while just missing qualifying for the state finals as an individual.
BASEBALL
MASON 2, RICHLAND GULL LAKE 1
Ryan Myers led the Bulldogs with the win on the mound as the Bulldogs secured a Division 1 district opening round win over Richland Gull Lake. Colton McCaleb notched the save and hit a double, Hunter Thorne had an RBI and Carson Chapin and Carter Kilmon each scored a run for Mason. The Bulldogs advance to faec Battle Creek Lakeview at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 30 at Mason.
OWOSSO 3, LINDEN 2 / OWOSSO 6, LINDEN 4
Cy Thompson picked up the win in game two to go with three hits and a home run to help the Trojans close out their regular season with a pair of wins over Linden. Jacob Moore notched the win in game one, and Landon Harrand tacked on two hits for Owosso (21-5).
OVID-ELSIE 4, CENTRAL MONTCALM 0 / OVID-ELISE 6, CENTRAL MONTCALM 3
Eyan Fabus led the Marauders going 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored as Ovid-Elsie picked up a pair of wins over Central Montcalm. Daniel Topping notched a solo-home run, Brody Howard finished with two hits and two RBI and Lance Wikotorowski and Trey Palatka each grabbed a win for Ovid-Elsie.
SOFTBALL
DANSVILLE 7, WAVERLY 0 / DANSVILLE 11, WAVERLY 0
Bree Delano had four hits and sored four runs for the Aggies in their nonleague doubleheader sweep of Waverly. Ryker Graf added four hits, four runs and four RBI and struck out 11 while earning the Game 2 win, while Laci Neal finished with 15 strikeouts in the opener for Dansville (26-5).
EATON RAPIDS 7, HOMER 3 / HOMER 5, EATON RAPIDS 3
Kalli Ordiway led the Greyhounds going 6-for-8 with a home run, two RBI and the win on the mound in game one as Eaton Rapids split the nonleague series with Homer. Abi Pratt picked up three hits, a double and a home run and Mallory Smith chipped in two RBI for Eaton Rapids.
