DIVSION 2 AT MASON
MASON — East Lansing had champions at all eight flights while capturing a fourth consecutive regional title.
The Trojans finished with 32 points to capture the regional championship, while host Mason was the runner-up with 20 points. Both teams will compete at the state finals in Midland on June 3-4.
Maia Meghea (No. 1), Sonja Stokstad (No. 2), Eleanna Kimbouris (No. 3) and Sima Bezuglova (No. 4) won their singles flights for East Lansing. The Trojans double champions were the tandems of Evie Laxton and Ani Meghea (No. 1), Stella Alfredson and Zoe Van Dorn (No. 2), Grace Knake and Addy Louagie (No. 3) and Carmen Rojewski and Allison Drzal (No. 4).
SOCCER
EAST LANSING 2, GRAND LEDGE 1
EAST LANSING — Grace Refior had a pair of goals for the Trojans in their win over Grand Ledge in CAAC Silver Cup final. Eliana Rojas had both assists and Hazel Hatfield had five saves for East Lansing (8-6-3).
DANSVLLE 5, JACKSON CHRISTIAN 4
Cadence Seibert and Caroline Seibert each had a pair of goals for the Aggies in their nonleague win. Caroline Seibert added an assist and Annabele Braman had a goal and an assist for Dansville.
SAGINAW NOUVEL 4, ITHACA 1
Riley Skinner picked up the goal for the Yellowjackets in a defeat to Saginaw Nouvel. Phoebe Ochoa dished out an assist and Sage Lamey had 11 saves for Ithaca.
BASEBALL
LESLIE 10, MICHIGAN CENTER 0
Easton Hawkins went 3-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs and secured the win on the mound to help the Blackhawks pick up a win over Michigan Center. Tucker Newland tallied two RBI, Jon Swagart notched two hits and scored two runs and Henry Bradford added on a double and two runs scored for Leslie.
