The Detroit Pistons are heading back to Ohio down, 3-2, in their second-round 2026 NBA playoffs series.
The 1-seed Pistons are playing the 4-seed Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 6 of the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinals at Rocket Arena in Cleveland on Friday, May 15. The game is scheduled to tip off around 7 p.m. ET and will be streamed on Prime Video instead of airing on a traditional TV channel.
That means you’ll need a smart device with an Amazon Prime subscription to watch the game.
The Pistons lost in overtime, 117-113, on Wednesday night in Game 5 in Detroit. All-Star guard Cade Cunningham turned in another 30-point performance, reaching the mark (39 points) for the fifth time in 11 playoff games this spring. But the Pistons couldn’t hold onto a late lead, amid a controversial end to regulation.
If the Pistons force a Game 7 with a win Friday, that will be played Sunday in Detroit, with the time to be determined. The winner of the series will play the 3-seed New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference finals. The Pistons are looking for a rematch after the Knicks beat them in six games in the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs. The East finals will either start Sunday in New York (with a Cleveland win Friday) or in Detroit on Tuesday (with Pistons wins in Games 6 and 7).
