St. Clair County Sheriff's Office investigating fatal house fire

The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a house fire that killed a 65-year-old man.

The fire happened in the 5600 block of Flinchbaugh Road in Kimball Township at around 9:40 p.m. Saturday, March 21, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. Deputies and firefighters responded after an alarm company reported the fire.

The 65-year-old man was reportedly still inside the residence when firefighters arrived and did not survive.

The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
