Michigan record snowfalls by county

Michigan’s record one-day snowfall is 38 inches in Houghton County, recorded at Kearsage in Calumet Township in the Keweenaw Peninsula in 2022.

The state’s top 24-hour storm occurred on Dec. 26 that year, according to the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI), during blizzard conditions of Winter Storm Elliott.
