Quarterback Aidan Chiles’ time at Michigan State has come to a close with the signal caller making the decision to leave the program via the transfer portal.
Upon his initial arrival in the portal, it was reported that two schools had entered the conversation, but now, it appears that two different teams are emerging in the pursuit of the former Spartan. Both of those teams come via the ACC, with it being Clemson and Virginia making a pursuit, according to sources close to the situation.
It appears that Nebraska is not totally out of the equation, but the two ACC schools have jumped out ahead of the race.
An ACC school feels like a nice, logical landing spot for Chiles, who is eager to compete for a starting job and bounce back from his MSU career, that ended with him getting benched in favor of Alessio Milivojevic.
In his two years with MSU, Chiles went 320-or-526 (60.8%) for 3,807 yards, 23 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. He also rushed the ball 178 times for 452 yards, nine touchdowns and fumbling the ball seven times.
Chiles will have one year of eligibility remaining wherever he decides to transfer to.
