The Michigan Department of Environment. Great Lakes and Energy, or EGLE, hosted a public meeting to educate the residents of St Clair County about the dangers of toxic compounds called PFAS in our drinking water. Michigan PFAS Action Response Team, or “MPART,” are a group of experts with EGLE. With boots on the ground, they presented their findings and long term plans to clean up the mess. Studies have found that exposure to PFAS could be linked to infertility, high blood pressure, thyroid issues, liver damage and cancer.
