Jim Nantz says Logan Wilson will be big part of Cowboys' defense

CBS’ Jim Nantz and Tony Romo shared praise of former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson during the second half of the Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Wilson was playing his third game for the Cowboys since the Bengals traded him to Dallas on Nov. 4.

“That was kind of a quiet trade a couple weeks ago getting him from Cincinnati,” Nantz said. “As (Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Matt) Eberflus told us, ‘He is the hammer.’ … He’s gonna be a big part of this Cowboy defense for a while.”

“Yep,” Romo added. “And they needed it too. I mean this was a really I’m gonna say bad unit early in the year. But you basically have six new guys playing right now.”

Wilson requested a trade in October. He was benched before the Bengals’ Week 6 game against the Green Bay Packers.
