Driver killed in Thanksgiving Day crash, other driver flees the scene

A driver was killed in an early morning crash on Thanksgiving Day in West Price Hill and another driver involved in the collision fled the scene, according to Cincinnati police.

Officers responded around 1:19 a.m. on Nov. 27 to the 4000 block of West Eighth Street to investigate the crash, according to a news release.

Police said an unknown person was driving a 2010 Ford Escape east on West Eighth Street when they struck a 2012 Acura TL southbound on Rosemont Avenue. The Acura’s driver, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene and the other driver fled the crash scene on foot.

The release states that impairment and speed are being investigated as contributing factors in the crash. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the Cincinnati Police Department’s traffic unit at 513-352-2514.
