Iowa State football injury report, player status ahead of Oklahoma State game

Iowa State football will look to build on its late-season momentum in Week 14 with a road trip to Oklahoma State to close out the regular season.

As the Cyclones prepare for their regular season finale, they will do so without Jamison Patton and Ta’Shawn Jones, as both were ruled out against the Cowboys, according to the initial Big 12 availability report that was released on Wednesday, Nov. 25. Running back Carson Hansen was listed as “probable” for the game.

The Cyclones and the Cowboys are slated for an 11 a.m. CT kickoff on Saturday, Nov. 29 in Stillwater, Oklahoma at Boone Pickens Stadium.

At 7-4 on the season, Iowa State is well on its way to another bowl game under Campbell, its fifth postseason appearance in the last six years under the three-time Big 12 Coach of the Year. USA TODAY’s Erick Smith currently has the Cyclones projected to play in the Alamo Bowl against USC.

The Cyclones enter Saturday’s game against the Cowboys looking for their third win in the last four meetings in the all-time series, which they lead 34-21-2. A win against Oklahoma State would give Iowa State just its 13th season of at least eight wins in program history, and the fifth under Campbell.
