The Los Angeles Rams continue to shuffle their roster with it getting late in the season. On Wednesday, they added two more players to the 53-man roster, both of them being former Seattle Seahawks.
The team announced it has signed 10-year veteran Nick Vannett to bolster their tight end room with Tyler Higbee out, also claiming Derion Kendrick off waivers from the Seahawks. Kendrick started his career with the Rams in 2022 as a sixth-round pick but was cut by the team this summer.
The Seahawks claimed him off waivers in August but he was released on Tuesday, subjecting him to the waiver wire. The Rams decided to bring him back, helping add even more depth at cornerback with Roger McCreary being placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
Vannett, 32, is 6-foot-5 and 266 pounds, but isn’t known for his receiving skills. He has 108 career receptions since 2016 and has scored nine touchdowns. He can help as a blocker in 13 personnel packages, while also providing some insurance in case Colby Parkinson, Davis Allen or Terrance Ferguson gets hurt.
Kendrick played 10 games for Seattle this season, intercepting two passes and recording seven tackles, one of them going for a loss.
