The bell is ringing again at Vanderburgh County’s Old Courthouse in downtown Evansville.
After the original 134-year-old drop hammer broke in May, students from the University of Southern Indiana Center for Applied Research came to the rescue. On Tuesday, Nov. 25, the students installed a new drop hammer for the bell, allowing it to chime once again.
